I came here with my wife and 20 month ago le daughter. We both had ribeye steaks followed by the almond cake for dessert. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the chimichurri and garlic butter were great accompaniments. The veg and potatoes were great, as was the dessert. Lovely, friendly owners and staff. Would recommend and excellent value, €22 euros for a 320g ribeye steak!

This is an old style traditional restaurant. The menu is quite small but the food is good. House wine a little more expensive than most in the area €17 for a litre jug The restaurant has a lot of regulars . Worth a visit

Traditional Portuguese Restaurant and terrace. Wonderful Big Prawns and delicious cataplana with Monkfish and shellfish. Very welcoming atmosphere, live music on Thursday makes this excellent value for money and the BEST Carvoeiro has to offer!

We went for the Sunday Roast dinner set menu which consisted of a starter and main course for £24.50. To say this is great value for money is a massive understatement. Both the starters and the main course (roast lamb) were fantastic. The house wine was delicious and the service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend booking in advance as you really don't want to be disappointed. We are in the area for another few weeks and will definitely be returning.

We were booked into Taste (over the road) who provided appalling service and left us without a meal on our final day of our holiday. Luckily Restaurante O Rafaiol were able to accommodate us very quickly and boy, how lucky we were. Fantastic service, fantastic atmosphere and - hands down - one of the best steaks I've had in years. If you're in town, book a night here.

So so so worth the walk away from the main Carvoeiro area, our absolute favourite meal from our trip due to the amazing food and fantastic hosts!!! We had Tuna Carpaccio which was so tasty and fresh, and then shared a huge T-bone steak with a choice of sauces (we had peppercorn and garlic butter) and potatoes and mixed veg. The steak was cooked perfectly and so tender, amazing quality beef and the price blew us away, €60 for this whole meal with a bottle of wine!!!! The waiter had a great sense of humour and made us laugh lots, plus a singer added to the good atmosphere. You must try if you are visiting the area!!!

Had the most delicious meal in this authentic Portuguese restaurant last night. Greeted by the owners with open arms, impeccable food and service in a really warm, inviting space. Would definitely recommend

Great restaurant! The food is marvellous! It has a lot of quality. The photographs and the entrance don't convey the authentic experience. Great staff, food, decor and music. Best restaurant in the Algarve.
